ScionHealth CEO, Rob Jay included on Becker's List of Great Leaders

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (April 29, 2026) – ScionHealth Chief Executive Officer Rob Jay was again included on Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2026 list of Great Leaders in Healthcare.

According to Becker’s, the Great Leaders list recognizes executives who “represent the best of the best in healthcare leadership. They are bold, courageous and deeply committed to their causes.”

In recognizing Jay for the second straight year, Becker’s noted that under his leadership, ScionHealth achieved “its strongest year yet in quality accolades and business performance in 2025.”

Regarding quality, Becker’s highlighted ScionHealth’s National Quality Strategy, which “has driven measurable improvements across the enterprise,” with a significant increase in hospitals earning top internal quality ratings from Year 1 to Year 2. Becker’s also cited a company-record five community hospitals earning an “A” hospital safety grade from The Leapfrog Group in spring 2025.

On the business side, Becker’s pointed to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho, acquiring the Catalyst Medical Group.

Becker’s also noted Jay’s service on the nine-member board of directors of the Federation of American Hospitals, where he helps shape policy for more than 1,000 tax-paying community hospitals and health systems, as well as his role as executive sponsor of ScionHealth’s HONOR employee resource group supporting military veterans. 

Jay has served as ScionHealth’s CEO since its founding in 2021 following a transaction between Lifepoint Health and Kindred Healthcare. A former Executive Vice President of Integrated Operations at Lifepoint, Jay has helped build ScionHealth’s nationwide health system of specialty and community hospitals.

In addition to making Becker’s 2025 Great Leaders list, Jay has twice been a finalist for Modern Healthcare’s Most Influential People in Healthcare and is a past recipient of Louisville Business First’s Most Admired CEOs award.
