As House Supervisor at Solara Specialty Hospitals McAllen, Adam Rodriguez pretty much runs the hospital during the night shift, with responsibility for more than a dozen staff and even more patients. The former Navy medic of 13 years handles the role with unique skill and composure – to the point where other team members flocked to his shift until there were no more openings. He regularly mentors new team members across disciplines and brings clinical expertise and a unique calm to the many high-stress situations of caring for critically ill patients.

On October 1, 2025, ScionHealth recognized Adam as a 2025 Monarch Caring and Community Award recipient for his excellence as a caregiver and leader at his specialty hospital. The award is our company’s highest honor, designed to showcase the truly exceptional caregivers amongst our 83 community hospitals and specialty hospitals across the country.
