Daynay Xuarez Hernandez, Nursing Supervisor, Kindred Hospital South Florida – Coral Gables, is a gifted, compassionate caregiver whom team members want to work with and patients and family members want at their bedside. She excels as a nurse and a leader while still finding time to mentor new nurses as a preceptor, fill staffing gaps, and educate others at community health events. She brings positivity to everything she does and is considered the glue that helps the hospital’s nursing team work so well together.

On October 1, 2025, ScionHealth recognized Daynay as a 2025 Monarch Caring and Community Award recipient for exemplifying excellence as a caregiver while guiding the nursing team in the challenging environment of a long-term acute care hospital. The award is our company’s highest honor, designed to showcase the truly exceptional caregivers amongst our 83 community hospitals and specialty hospitals across the country.
