Rob Jay
Chief Executive Officer

Veteran healthcare executive Rob Jay is the founding CEO of ScionHealth, having guided its launch in December 2021 following a transaction between industry-leading companies LifePoint Health and Kindred Healthcare. Before becoming CEO of ScionHealth, the Brandon, Mississippi, native served as Executive Vice President of Integrated Operations for Brentwood, Tennessee-based LifePoint, where he oversaw physician services, growth and outreach, development (mergers and acquisitions), health informatics and technology services, and revenue and network management.

Prior to LifePoint, Rob spent time at RCCH Healthcare Partners as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, eventually helping to manage its transition into LifePoint. Rob also was an integral part of the merger between RegionalCare Hospital Partners and Capella Health.

Additionally, Rob has served as Vice President of Development at Vanguard Health Systems, Controller of Health Management Associates, and Controller of St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in professional accountancy from Mississippi State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Millsaps College.

Rob’s history of working through multiple, complex mergers makes him the ideal leader to create a strong foundation for ScionHealth. His leadership of the company will be guided by his deep operational expertise; successful track record for managing organizational change; propensity for developing strong teams; commitment to fostering diversity; and focus on driving growth.

Rob formed and leads a founding executive leadership team at ScionHealth that is made up of proven leaders who came over from either LifePoint or Louisville, Kentucky-based Kindred and who, through their industry experience and institutional knowledge of the legacy companies, have positioned the new enterprise to hit the ground running.

Danny Brywczynski
Executive Vice President of Integrated Operations

Highly experienced in strategic planning and enhancing operations in healthcare systems, Danny Brywczynski joined ScionHealth at the time of its launch in December 2021. He oversees a broad range of operational areas, including managed care and value-based care; integration, strategy and innovation; physician enterprise; growth and outreach; and performance improvement. Danny came to ScionHealth after serving at LifePoint Health as Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, and prior to that, VP of Integration. He was instrumental in the successful merger of LifePoint Health and RCCH HealthCare Partners, and previously was VP and Chief of Staff for RCCH. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and finance from Wittenberg University.

Joel Day
Chief Financial Officer

Joel Day became the first CFO at ScionHealth upon its launch in December 2021, after holding the same position at Kindred Healthcare for a year prior. In all, he served nearly three decades at Kindred, including as Senior Vice President and Operations CFO. He led high-level strategic finance work for Kindred and has extensive experience aligning operational finance strategies within divisions. At ScionHealth, he oversees financial operations, planning and analysis, as well as information technology and the supply chain.

Doug Curnutte
Chief Development Officer

Doug Curnutte joined ScionHealth at its launch in December 2021 after previously serving as Chief Development Officer at Kindred Healthcare. Doug was a key leader in corporate development at Kindred after joining the company in 1994, responsible for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and construction activity within each of Kindred’s business units. Doug earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky.

Mike Warrington
President, Long-Term Acute Care

Mike Warrington presides over ScionHealth’s national network of dozens of long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs) that were formerly part of Kindred Healthcare. He has extensive knowledge of and experience with these facilities, having served as President and, prior to that, Chief Operating Officer (2016-20) of Kindred’s Hospital Division. He led operational efforts in key markets such as California, Texas and Florida that included the integration of hospitals into the Kindred organization and the development of partnerships with prominent acute care systems. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from Westmont College in California and a master’s in healthcare administration from San Jose State University.

Robert Wampler
President, Short-Term Acute Care

Robert Wampler presides over ScionHealth’s national network of community-based short-term acute care hospitals that were formerly part of LifePoint Health. When ScionHealth launched in December 2021, this network consisted of 18 hospitals in 11 states. Robert came to ScionHealth with extensive leadership experience with these kinds of comprehensive acute-care facilities, having served as President of LifePoint’s Mountain Division, with operational oversight of hospitals in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin. He previously was Interim President of LifePoint’s Western Division. Prior to LifePoint, he served as Senior VP - Division President for RCCH Healthcare Partners. His bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in accounting, is from East Tennessee State University.

Lisa Estrada
General Counsel

Lisa Estrada became ScionHealth’s top legal counsel upon the company’s launch in December 2021. Prior to that, she served nearly two years as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at LifePoint Health, where she led an ethics and compliance team that was responsible for driving a culture focused on ethical business practices and compliance with laws and regulations. Prior to LifePoint, Lisa served as Senior VP and Chief Compliance Officer for Fresenius Medical Care North America. Before that, she was a partner at the law firms of Foley & Lardner LLP and Arent Fox LLP. Lisa is a graduate of George Mason University School of Law and earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Jeffrey M. Jasnoff
Chief Human Resources Officer

Jeffrey M. Jasnoff became the Chief HR Officer for ScionHealth upon its launch in 2021 after holding the same leadership role at Kindred Healthcare. Jeff joined Kindred in 2010, providing strong HR leadership in many areas, including mergers and acquisitions, field HR support, talent acquisition and leadership development. Prior to Kindred, Jeff held national and international HR leadership positions at a wide range of companies. He holds a bachelor’s degree from La Salle University and a master’s in organizational psychology from Hahnemann University.

Todd Flowers
Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer / Strategy and Support Services

Todd Flowers serves ScionHealth in the same role he held at Kindred Healthcare throughout 2021. Prior to that, he served as Kindred’s Senior VP of Corporate Finance and Treasurer. After joining Kindred in 2011, Todd played a central role in financial planning and supporting transactions that transformed the company’s portfolio. Todd holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, with a concentration in finance, from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
